Crackles with energy and the laughs, like the twists, come thick and fast. The characters are cleverly drawn with deft strokes, with the reader effortlessly drawn into a world where the lines between right and wrong, love and hate, and fantasy and reality are distinctly blurred. The rapid-fire jokes are driven by the narrative rather than shoe-horned into it, but even the dark, satirical edge does not dilute the essential sweetness of the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed Heaven's Delight. There are some wonderful comic moments in it. The characterisation of God works brilliantly, giving him a totally human demeanour rather than distant omnipotence. I certainly think it deserves to be made as a film, in the same genre as 'The Devil Wears Prada', but with Heaven's Delight having more visual action and a greater mix of characters.

Wonderfully written and full of touches of humour. It's a refreshing change to see a man writing from inside a woman's head and Niraj does this brilliantly in this romantic comedy novel.

The novel was well-researched, witty and humorous with an unpredictable twist at the end. I look forward to reading the sequel.

This book was given to me by a friend and I enjoyed it a lot. It is fast-paced and funny, and there is a great twist at the end. You will like this book if you enjoy the likes of Sophie Kinsella or Jane Green. Hopefully there will be many more to come!

For a first novel, this author demonstrates great potential. The story line is original and Mr Kapur has the ability to write fantastic, fast paced action scenes. There were elements that made me laugh out loud. Heaven's delight is easy to read, will make you laugh and give you a feel good factor. It's ideal for both a cosy night at home or to ward off the boredom of a long flight.
